I am sick to death of struggling with cellulite on my thighs and rear. Anyone know how to get rid of that? Can you exercise that away?

I definitely hear you there. Cellulite has got to be the worst kind of fat. I think it's probably the hardest to get rid of, too.
I've even seen some very thin people who have it!
I think the key is in fitness. Target the areas with workouts of those muscles, but don't forget to do your cardio because that's the biggest fat burning type of exercise.
Fat burning and toning, together, probably give you the biggest odds. I read somewhere that if you massage the cellulite area on a regular basis, that can help too because you encourage blood flow to the area (that only works on top of the exercising, not all by itself).

When you're battling cellulite you have a really hard kind of fat to lose. You're going to want to make sure that you're eating great and staying very very hydrated. Exercise every day and focus both on cardio and strength training. This will help you to grow your muscles (so you can burn more calories) and it will burn off more fat at the same time. When it comes to cellulite, you really have to attack it from every direction or it is going to stick around forever so you'd best learn to live with it.

I was under the impression that you pretty much never can get rid of cellulite because it's fat closer to the surface of the skin, instead of the stuff that is deeper down, the actual bulgy fat that you lose when you diet.
I think that all you can do is try to take care of the fat that you can manage and just come to live with cellulite, as much as that stinks. You even see it sometimes on some of the runway models, and they're insanely skinny. That leads me to believe that once it's there, it's not going anywhere.

I'm not sure about that, Cujo1992. I think that even cellulite can go away if you work at it hard enough. I just think that it takes an insane amount of work. I'm pretty sure that it's not just a matter of diet and exercise, too. There has to be a lot of targeted training, and it's my understanding that topical treatment is also important, such as massages.
Don't believe what they say about those cellulite creams, though. Most of them just have things like coffee and other diuretics in them, so all it's doing is sucking the water out of the cells, instead of actually getting rid of the fat. If it works at all (and most don't) then the results are extremely short term.
