  • Food TV shows

I’m a chef and I absolutely love shows about food and cooking on TV. The only problem is that a lot of the time they actually make me a lot hungrier than I would usually be because I’m constantly thinking about food. I’m thinking about making it and tasting it and that makes my mouth water and my stomach growl.

So just as a warning, if you’re anything like me, you should only watch food tv while you’re eating your meals or when you’re very full. Otherwise you might find yourself snacking!!

LOL I know what you mean! I have made a new rule for myself that I'm not allowed to watch those shows until I have finished grocery shopping. It puts too many tasty ideas in your head that are horribly bad for a weight loss diet (or just keeping the waistline you have).

Those meals are fine for a treat you have at a restaurant on your birthday, but that's really not what you should be eating each and every day.

I hate that this is true! I love watching food on TV but it does make me crave what is being cooked.

I wonder if you watch a show that is based on health food that tastes great and is low calorie, if it will change what we crave.

I know that I'm prone to suggestion. When I see commercials or people eating on tv I know that I want those things just a little bit more.

Maybe they should start to focus healthier stuff on tv if they want us sheep to start avoiding the obesity epidemic haha!

        Bahhhhh

Yup! I guess it's sort of like that saying "you are what you eat"...but I guess in this case it's more like "you eat what you see" hahaha.
