  • What's the best way to look good

I everyone. I've been dieting for a couple of months - slowly and steadily. I'm trying to build the right habits.

But now as the weather gets colder, my clothes from last winter are too big. The thing is, I don't want to replace my entire wardrobe because I hope to be even smaller next year.

What should I buy so that I can get the most wear out of it, still look good, but not have to buy a fortune worth of clothing that I will never be able to wear again after the next few months?

I went through the same problem not too long ago (by the way, way to go for thinking ahead and keeping positive that you'll be successful). What I did was buy a few key foundation elements. A tank/cami in basic colors like black, beige, white, as well as black and brown dress pants, and a few tee shirts and long sleeved tees and a couple of pairs of draw string track pants. Those items could all be mixed pretty comfortably with a lot of the clothing I already had. I'd use button-up shirts over a cami and dress pants, left open. Once they got too big, they just had a 'breezy' look, since I was wearing them overtop. If you get a few key pieces, you can mix and match with a few things that you can fudge form your old wardrobe until you're ready to replace the whole thing.

I know this is an old standard, but I'll post it here as a reminder, anyway. Layer your clothing, get only solid colors so that you won't have pattern clashes, and buy things that can be dressed up or dressed down by using different jewelry.

Congrats for the wonderful progress you're making. If you're dropping clothing sizes then you're really doing a great job! You must feel wonderful.

My advice would be to get yourself a few pairs of tights and wear your too-big shirts with them. You can buy a few nice pieces of clothing for going to work, but for around the house, go ahead and wear the stuff that is baggy with a pair of tights underneath.

You'll love how comfortable everything is and you won't have to spend a fortune on replacing everything - at least not until next year when you'll hopefully be maintaining your goal weight for the long term! :)

          To look good, avoid stress.

Exercise is very important. Regular physical activity - at least 30 minute sessions three times a week - strengthens the immune system and promotes relaxation.

Wear clothes that make you feel good. If you aren't comfortable in your clothes - for example, if you feel ugly in them or if you feel like a shirt is too low cut, etc - then it will show in the way that you carry yourself and it will take away from your appeal.
