  • antibiotics and weight loss

I’m already against using antibacterial soaps and those antibacterial gels unless you’re in a hospital or public place where you could get someone with a weakened immune system sick (since they’re creating antibiotic resistant bacteria), but I just found out another reason that we shouldn’t be using them. They’re making us fat!

Apparently being in contact with some everyday bacteria actually stimulate the release of some chemicals in the brain (such as dopamine and serotonin) that are responsible for preventing depression, and they help to boost the immune system. When either of those areas have problems, weight gain is the result!
