  • Hi everyone, nice to meet you

Hi everyone. I'm a month into my weight loss diet and a friend who is already a member of this forum recommended it to me saying that you all are very nice here. I look forward to helping out with what I know and getting your opinions and thoughts, too.

Hi ChristySmiles! Glad to see you here (and smiling). A positive attitude is always welcome here. We're all in this together, right? As we head into winter we have to work twice as hard since the clothing hides more haha. I hope you have lots of tips and progress to share. This forum is what I use to stay motivated!

Thank you LydiaPurple and Suzie. I like this forum already. I think it's such a positive environment here. Everyone is so great about trying to help. I think that if anybody wants to be successful for dieting, they should be in a forum with you all! I'm going to pop in here all the time, I think

              Here I Go Again!

Hey everyone! Just trying to find a place with supporters for my new...or not so new...journey. 4 years ago when I graduated high school I was 135 lbs and a size 6. Now, due to several reasons...I am 180 pounds and a size 14. I've always had some weight issues and had to fight hard in high school with lots of workouts etc. Now it's back to the same old fight but the hardest I've ever had to fight! This is the biggest I've ever been and I get so mad every day when I see I can fit into 10% of the things in my closet. Time to make the commitment! Also, can anyone point me in the direction of a thread that is specifically aimed at tips and motivation etc.? I would love if anyone wants to join me in a weigh-in thread and we can go to it for daily support.

I know what you mean about the frustration of weight coming on fast and sticking around so that absolutely everything you own becomes a reminder of what you used to have.

I think you have a great attitude about putting this blip behind you and taking positive steps toward regaining the use of your wardrobe.

There are actually a lot of great tips and motivational threads on this forum, but feel free to start some, yourself, too. I'm personally enjoying the one about drinking more water in the wintertime, and peoples' favorite diet-friendly foods at the moment.
