  • Introduce yourself!

I just noticed that there are a lot of new people who are commenting here, lately. That’s great! I’ve been here for eons and it’s the only thing that has been helping me stick to my diet. I was quite obese when I started dieting but now my bmi is just below obese. I’m so proud to be just in the overweight zone. My goal is to be completely healthy.

What’s your story? I’m so thrilled to see so many new “faces”.

    Hi Lia and everybody.

I've been posting here for a while but I don't remember if I ever introduced myself. I'm Paplo. I'm working on getting my weight down. I've been losing weight for more than two years. I lost my motivation and quit for about six months of that but I'm back inot it. I am overweight now. When I started off, I was obese. My goal is to keep working out and eating right until I am proud of my abs.

Hi All! I'm Jordan and I gained a whole lot of weight while I was in college. I just graduated last year and even though I was trying very hard to eat reasonably while I was on campus, that's much easier said than done. This was especially true during my first year when I lived in res. The cafeteria did serve healthy options but I didn't want to have the same thing every day, so in order to get some variety, I was ending up with a lot more sodium and fat in my diet - sugar too - than any person should.

Once the weight was on, it just didn't come off. Since my last year, I have been battling it full- force and I am starting to win the war. I have tried a few diet pills now and again and some of them work (some really don't). The key to any of them has been to exercise regularly and eat very healthy, balanced foods. I find that even if you eat a ton of veggies, not just tiny amounts, it's still very possible to lose weight.

Hi bhollytba. I hope that you find what you're looking for here. I've been here a while now and I find that most of hte people here are really nice. The information i've learned here is actually pretty good. I'm on a couple of other forums and this is my favorite one <3 It really gives realistic advice, not just a lot of spam and marketing stuff.

I am Karry, I am a new member of this forum. Today I search for a diet forum in google and I found it. After seeing this forum I decided to open an account here to be a regular forum member. I am very fat and trying to lose my weight. Sometimes it makes me sad when I see my body. I am trying my best to lose weight and be a cheerful person. I will be very happy if someone would like to be my friend.

              Thanks,
              Karry
              I'm here for you, Karry.

I'm dealing with the same thing. But when you treat yourself great and work hard at it, your self confidence will grow because you can really be proud of your progress. I know my words probably aren’t doing much for you now. If someone told me the same thing back in April when I really started in earnest (after having dieted off and on for seven years with almost no progress). But then I really dedicated myself to it with an online tool, a pedometer, and a lot of determination to make healthy food taste good.

Since April I lost 23 pounds and gained back 3 so I’m sitting at 20 lost pounds right now. Since it’s the holiday season, I’m being a little less hard on myself. I’m just trying ot maintain instead of still losing but I’ll get back to it when the holidays are done.

If you need support, want to share or have questions, this is a great board. It’s been an important part of me keeping up my motivation. You can do it, too!
