    hi. i'm new to this forum and just wanted to introduce myself. i'm 34 and have been fighting with my weight since my mid-twenties. nothing significant happened in my twenties to turn things around - no pregnancy, no eating disorders, no changes at all in my lifestyle. i think that my metabolism just started to really slow down, and i didn't. oh well

    i've tried a lot of diet programs, but have to be honest that i lost the most weight with the help of diet pills. now i'm trying to learn how to manage my weight once the pills are gone.

    anyway, i've tried a whole lot of weight loss stuff and i will try to share my experiences with you, as well as learn from yours. here's to growing together

    Hi Kat. I'm new here too and it's great to meet other people this way.

    I'm surprised so many people are still using diet pills. I haven't tried any myself. I always thought they would harm your health. I've tried a few commercial diet programs, like Jenny Craig and Nutrisystem, but it wasn't until I became dedicated to the South Beach Diet that the weight has come off and stayed off.

    Anyway, I'm looking forward to reading more of your posts.

      I've been visiting this forum for a few years now, off and on, and you're right, there really is something good about this one. It has a lot of different topics, which i really like, and it is moderated just enough that the spammers are kept out most of the time, so that the real people can shine through.

      We're a good bunch, if I can be so immodest as to include myself among the good'ns heehee
