  • Does it all come back to sleep?

    I'm doing a lot of research into sleep because I know I need more of it and it is somewhat of a resolution for me. The more I read about it, the more I think it is also associated with other struggles like losing weight. It also impacts nutrition. The reason is that new research is showing that sleep has a big impact on the microbiome. Since the microbiome decides nutrition, immune system strength, mental health, and weight control issues, I think that focusing on diet and exercise is shortsighted. Focusing first on sleep should be the way to do it, then that will make any diet and exercise changes far more effective.

    Sleep is the center of all health. Energy, motivation, proper body function all link to sleep. If you want to eat right, exercise, or even get the most digestion out of your food and have the strongest immune system, you need sleep.

      So much of it really does have to do with sleep. That's why we feel so bad when we don't get it. Listen to your body.
