  • Starting BMI impacts how effective your diet is

I read this article (link below, not spam I promise) about a new study showing that the weight loss benefits of your strategy will depend on the BMI you are when you get started. So you might actually need to start one way and shift to something else depending on your current BMI as you move along. At first I thought that was stupid and sucked even worse than dieting the same way all along, but then the more I thought about it, the more that makes sense and kind of appeals. I would be willing to start one way then shift into a new strategy over time. Might keep things fresh at the very least. And if I continually get results it would definitely motivate me!

Do you think this suggests that everyone can lose weight in the same order of techniques as long as they line them up with their bmi?

It would be helpful if they came up with a chart to tell you how to get started with your diet based on your current BMI and when to switch to the next one and what that is. Do you think that's the next thing they'll come up with?

I agree. I hope that's the next thing they do. Now that they've discovered the trend, a bit of guidance would be very helpful
