I read in the news about new research that suggests the belief that a lot of us have that some people have a harder time losing weight than others because of their physiology may be true. That said, the researchers don't know if the biological differences that make it harder for some people to lose weight is something that people are naturally born with or if they develop it over time. You can check out the news article here http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases...0511162918.htm if you're interested.

hmmm...interesting. That makes a lot of sense. I've known friends who can eat lots of stuff (they have worse diets than I do) and they never seem to pack on the pounds. Meanwhile, me and other friends just have to look at food and I swear I gain a pound!

I can totally believe that that's true. I've always gained weight easier than other people that I've known. I wonder why that is though. You'd think that even if we were all different shapes and builds, we should all gain weight in the same way, especially if we all consumed the same diets.

Wow ya, that explains a lot of why some people seem to lose weight easier than others or it takes them longer to gain weight....so does that mean that some of us naturally have more fat on us or something? That's another thing I've always wondered, depending on your shape, you also gain weight faster in other areas. Like, I when I gain weight it all falls to my butt and hips, but for my friend it goes straight to her stomach. Has science figured out why that happens??
