  • Avocados for weight loss

Avocados are a great food to work into your diet. While I don’t think that you should follow some sort of “avocado diet” where you have to eat a whole one every day or something, I think that it’s a good idea to start to regularly eat avocados. Like have half of one a couple of times a week.

The reason that I think that is that I have been reading some good stuff about them, inclduign that they help to improve cholesterol levels, but also there was this article in the Huffington Post that I would like to share. It’s really informative and it gives 8 reasons that these are great fruits to eat for weight loss and overall health

Thanks for this! Avocados have a bad name because they are high in fat. But it's healthy fat!

I found this article hard to read. I don’t want to sound like an idiot but I think that the person who wrote that was so busy being clever that they lost me a bit.

I found a lot of good information in this article, so thank you for sharing it. I am glad that I read it, but I think that the headings that said what the 8 different points made things a lot more confusing than thaey had to be.

Saying things like “it’s a radical fighter” and “it’s a gateway drug” might seem very smart as long as you’re already familiar with the topic, but I am learning a lot of this stuff from scratch so it only made it harder to get it.

I did find it interesting to read that it helps to stabilize insulin sensitivity and blood sugar. That’s a really useful thing, especially if you’re afraid that you’re going to get diabetes. I’m right on the very edge of it, myself and I am doing everything I can to help to keep myself out of trouble.

Is there any way to save avocado after you’ve cut into one? I wouldn’t mind eating more of it but as soon as you cut into one it starts going brown and it tastes bad when it gets like that. Is there a way to save it so that the whole thing doesn’t have to be eaten at once? I know that there is a bag of 5 avocados on sale right now and I’d like ot get it, but I don’t want to have to sit down and eat each of them straight through every time I cut into them.
