  • Coffee and lemon

    Have you guys heard of this new trend about coffee and lemon helping with weight loss? Supposedly drinking a concoction of coffee and lemon can help cut down belly fat and may help to speed up the weight loss process. Sounds a little bogus to me, but does anyone know if there is any science behind this?

    I think that's just a fad with no proof. I think that both coffee and lemons can be good for you, but combined as some sort of fat loss benefit, I really don't think so. This sounds about as viable as the cabbage soup diet and the Master Cleanse.

      Yup this is totally a fad and there is no science behind it. I would ignore doing this unless you like the taste of coffee and lemons...

            The fad thing aside...wouldn't this taste gross? I mean, I've heard of tea and lemon, but coffee and lemon?? Yuck!

              Hi,
              I do not know the science behind it and I have not even tried it personally but, my aunt (who is 70+ now) have been drinking a cup of black coffee with lemon every morning since eternity hahaha. I don't know exactly since when she started drinking it because I have literally seen her drink it from the time I was born and I am 20 now. When I think about it, she has always been of the same weight, I mean I have never seen her gain weight ever, so may be this coffee is the reason, but again I am not sure.

                Huh, that's pretty interesting. Maybe your aunt is on to something LOL. I bet she's probably got a great diet though and stays active, too, so maybe that helps haha.

                  Enjoy coffee and lemon if you like it, but don't start taking it for weight loss. It doesn't help with weight loss. That and take care of having lemon all the time as the acid from the lemon can do a number on your teeth. I mean when it's diluted it's not nearly as bad but coffee is acidic, too.

                    Ditto. Honestly..this isn't gonna lead to weight loss.
