Has anyone else heard the news that researchers may have discovered that there may be a brain circuit that is linked to food impulsivity, which could be one of the causes of overeating? Apparently if this is true, there may be hope that one day therapeutics could be developed to address the problem. That would be awesome! What do you guys think? If anyone is interested in learning more about the study, you can read about it here https://www.sciencedaily.com/release...1211145630.htm

Some of us might overeat because we have messed up brain circuits!

Now that makes a lot of sense! What I'm wonder if that's a natural part of the brain or if that's something that developed since we've evolved and easily have food at our disposal. I mean are we natural born gluttons for fold survival purposes?

That would explain a lot! It make sense that the brain has something to do with obesity. I mean, it can't be that we just naturally want to eat more than we need. I mean, even if you're eating something and it tastes good, eventually you should feel full and want to stop. I'm not saying that you can't get fat, seriously not all calories are created equal. If you eat an apple or you eat a chocolate bar, big different in calories and health here. That said, overeating is a whole other situation. I do hope that this study goes somewhere and they can find therapies that will actually help people. Obesity is real and it's a very scary thing.
