    The Mediterranean diet was just featured in a long term study that showed really clearly that it helps to keep heart disease and stroke away. Those are among the top killers, so it's absolutely worth trying!

    That's actually pretty exciting news because this diet isn't restrictive! It also doesn't leave you feeling starving.

    It includes a lot of really flavorful, rich foods so you can actually thoroughly enjoy your meals, and eat out a lot, and still get all the advantages. It's nice to know when eating habits that are simple, and really realistic actually do pay off!

    If I were to cut out all of the takeout from my diet, what i make myself and what I eat when I go to friends houses and at sit down restaurants actually fit into this type of diet really well.

      It's funny, I've been hearing that the med. diet is very healthy off and on, but it's hard to tell what to believe since all diets seem to say that kind of thing about themselves.

      It's rare to have a study like this actually demosntrate the value of a diet as clearly as this one does. Thanks so much for sharing this. It's really interesting. I should go crack open the olive oil!

        I prefer the Mediterranean Diet more because it doesn’t controlled the portions like any other diet plans but instead it increases the eating habits more with healthy foods like more green and leafy vegetables and fruits, fish, olive oil, berries which are rich in nutrition and avoid extra calories for your body.

          What exactly does the Mediterranean diet have you do? Is it just the name of the type of eating that people in that part of the world do, in general, or is it a book or program that is based on the concepts of the eating styles from the Mediterranean?

          I've always been confused about that. maybe someone can clear up exactly what the diet is?

          The reviews and comments (and now studies) are so good about it, but I can't figure out exactly what it is.
