  • Office Staff Dealing With Tummy Fats

    Woke up early in the morning, ate my breakfast, go to the office and work in front of my computer, ate my lunch break and again work in front of my computer. Well that is my daily routine, my lifestyle so it’s not a surprise that I have a tummy fats.

    And I would say that this is one of my biggest problems. Off course, I felt insecure with my friends and relatives. But what can I do? Pls. help. Do you have any programs that help lessen my tummy fats?

    By the way this is Sherrie and I’m a newbie here from Rockville.

    Your job sounds like my job. I also add to the problem by going home from my office job and playing on the computer for a couple of hours. So here's what I've been doing and it's made an inch of difference so far around my middle (yes, I'm obsessed enough to measure).

    While I'm at my desk, whenever I'm just reading something and not actually typing, I sit up in my chair and I raise and lower my legs, together, keeping my knees bent. That activates the abs so that I get a little mini workout in. I do as many sets of 8 as I can without feeling actual discomfort. Challenge and pain are different, after all.

    When I get home, BEFORE I eat dinner (because afterward, I get too lazy) I go for a 30 minute walk or a 10 minute jog. This is because cardio is the best kind of workout for burning calories.

    Aside from that, I'm eating a very healthy diet and have cut out all deep fried things and as many sugary foods as I can. It's still a work in progress, but at least there is progress!

      Hi Sherrie,

      The trick to beating it is just what you think it might be: lifestyle change. It's time to get some activity into your life aside from walking to your desk. Try starting with going for walks after work. I find that if I do it as soon as I get home, then I still have motivation to do it. If I wait until after dinner, I feel tired and lose my drive.

      Also, have a look at the foods that you're eating. Start looking for lower fats and sugars, and eat a lot more veggies than you were before. By doing that, you'll also boost your fiber. More fiber, and drinking lots of water will help you to get rid of extra waste and retained water in your body.

      All of these efforts together get rid of fat and fluids and should help you gradually shrink your belly. It's what I'm doing right now and I'm seeing some success, so I hope you'll be successful, too!

          Sherrie,

          Please let us know what works for you. There are a lot of us that have a lifestyle that is just a bit too sedentary and who are looking for the "secrets" to what really does work.

          I've found that as long as I do a little workout first thing in the morning (mine's about 10 minutes, not something huge), then I stay energized right through until lunch time when I can take a walk and get that energy level back up again.

          That's my two cents. I hope it helps, too!

            I would say the natural herbs that is the green tea can do it for you but you need to concentrate at your diet and take green tea without sugar after eating and some walk after eating lunch and dinner..

              I am very grateful with your responses. A dear friend of mine Nicole recommended me, the Weight Loss Rockville Program conducted by Dr. Steve Wander. In fact I currently undergo on their program..which hopefully will work
              I know it wouldn't be right to give details about it as perhaps some users may misinterpret that I'm just promoting product or services..

              But I would say that this helps me right now. It's been almost one month but I would say that I received efficient results....

              Anyway thank you for your suggestions. I'm also trying workout exercises along with this program..such as cardio exercises and eating a balance diet.

                Good work, sherclark123. It's great to hear an update on your progress and successes. This really is a good place to get tips and also to hear about how other people are doing with their diets. It's one thing to read a book and see the rules for a diet but it's something else to speak to people as they diet and find out how they're doing right then and there, and what is (or is not) working.

                After all, there are lots of us who have all been in similar situations, so it's great to become informed about how we should be moving forward and to support one another so that we don't lose motivation. That's hard to accomplish in an office job setting!

                  Hi Alvintang, thanks for sharing the link and I found it helpful, even though there are some words that I couldn't understand because it wasn't written in English Alphabet..Are all of them are China or Japan products? If so, then it would perhaps hard for me to acquire them.
