  • What are your favorite fruits to eat?

    I always end up eating the same fruits and vegetables over and over again so thought I would create a fruit thread so everyone can get some fresh ideas!

    I eat a lot of apples. I think because they are easy to pack around and are not messy...

    After getting back from Hawaii I am on a real pineapple kick. I buy a big whole pineapple at the store then cut it all up into small slices and whenever I want a sweet snack I eat a few slices. So juicy and refreshing. One pineapple lasts me about 3 days (my fiance eats it too).

      fruits I always have on hand:

      apples
      kiwis
      pears
      strawberries

      I often make salads with apple, pear and strawberries and I will add some nuts and low fat cheese. Makes a good, healthy and filling meal.

        I would always eat away at oranges and red apples only - im a simple eater :)

          I always eat oranges, i just simply love them. And also kiwi fruits.

            All those other suggestions for fruit are great but don't forget that you don't just have to eat them the way they are. Apples are awesome in a lot of ways. For some reason, it's a whole different experience if you eat them sliced or eat them off the core. You can also dust the slices with cinnamon and you'll get extra flavor and a lot of health benefits without worrying about calories or added sugar.

              I am habitual of weight lifting so i use to use apple,banana and mango because there all the fruits with pure milk creates blood in body.

                      apples, bananas, and pears are great and aren't very expensive.

                      Also, I recently heard that fruits and veggies with white flesh are great for helping to prevent a stroke in your lifetime, too.

                      They really weren't kidding when they said "an apple a day keeps the doctor away". In this case, they mean ER doctors and cardiologists, too!

                            I just "discovered" star fruit for the first time and I absolutely love it! It's a nice little refreshing fruit that isn't too sweet but gives you just that little fruity burst that you need to feel like you've had a lovely treat.

                            When I first saw it, I really didn't know what to expect from its flavor. It's almost citrus-like, but not quite as zingy as that.

                            Also, because they're a nice small size, you don't really risk overeating the sugar.
