Hey everyone. I'm going to be heading away on a week long caribbean cruise soon but I'm currently following a pretty strict diet to help me lose weight and so far I've been doing really well on it. I'm concerned that by going on the trip I'll ruin my deiting efforts by eating the wrong foods and I also don't just want to follow the diet when I know I"ll be tempted by other tasty things I can enjoy while on vacation and will be miserable if I don't indulge in good eats. What should I do? Abandon my diet or just suck it up and try to make the most of my vacation even though that means giving up a lot of fun food?

I don't think you should necessarily abandon your diet, but at the same time I don't think you should deny yourself fun food either. I'd recommend that you still watch what you eat whenever you can, but go ahead and indulge. Your vacation won't last forever, so what you do gain you can always lose later. I wouldn't worry about it too much. I'd focus more on having a good time :D

Yeah. I agree with Tiff. You can enjoy yourself on your vacation and have some fun foods without being too stupid about it. Plus, a week off your normal diet isn't going to ruin your weight loss efforts as long as you pick back up where you left off when you return home. Have a great time, by the way!

Even though I know you're likely already back from your trip antoniojones, I would never let weight loss ruin a vacation. It won't hurt you to take a beak from your regular routine for a little bit. All that's important is that when you get home that you go back to your regular schedule.
