  • Replaced my regular snack foods with pistachios and...

    ..i think it's working! Usually I'd have chips or other "bad" snacks, but I've found that snacking on in-shell pistachios may have lead to me losing 5 pounds over the past couple weeks!

    I'm wondering which aspect of the "pistachio principle" is in play and helping me:

    Yes, I'm curious too. What aspect of the Pistachio Principle do you think is working for you?

    As for myself, I love Pistachios more than any other snack food. But it is true that when I'm faced with a bowl of empty shells I'm not as inclined to keep eating, unlike if I just had a bag of shelled Pistachios. Shouldn't this principle hold true then for other nuts? For example, peanut shells are much bigger and it would take fewer to fill a bowl. Hmmmm, maybe I'm on to something here.
