I've always had cellulite on my upper thighs but I'm starting to notice more. Is that just a part of aging or is my weight gain causing more? If I lose the weight, will they look of the cellulite decrease? I know it won't ever go away but I'm hoping it will look less unsightly

Yes, you can get more cellulite with more age and with more weight. Losing weight may help a bit, and so can regularly moisturizing your skin as well as engaging in exercises to help make your skin more taught, but, pretty much if it's there, it's not going away. The best way to prevent it is to stop gaining more weight because I think it's fatty deposits that cause cellulite.

Usually it just hangs around those areas. While it can go to other parts of the body, usually it appears in the most fatty and flabbiest of areas. antoniojones1968, age and weight gain are definitley contributing factors of more cellulite, as is smoking, little exercise, sitting or standing in one position for a long time, and wearing tight underwear that may restrict blood flow.
