    Hi. I've been practicing Yoga for 5 years now. Yoga had been part of life and it did so many amazing things to me, my body and my spirituality. Anyone who shares the same sentiments as me?

      Does yoga actually help you to lose weight or burn calories/fat, or does it just make you calm and flexible?

        It does both. It's not just a matter of stretching. You are working out your body and mind, and that burns calories. But you're also becoming more flexible, which makes all of your other exercising more effective and easier and lowers your chances of injury.

          It can also help to tone your muscles which helps them to burn more calories and helps your body to look better and more fit.

            It helps you to lose weight, too. You get toned and flexible

                Strength and flexibility are important because they are a part of muscle building and a part of making your exercise easier and more healthy. When exercising is easier, you get more out of it and you're more willing to do it. When you have more muscles, your body naturally burns more calories, because muscles are important calorie and fat burners. Even if you're not doing jack, you'll still burn more if you're muscular.
