I'm wondering why everyone loves and recommends yoga. Is it really THAT good for your body or is it just a type of fitness people enjoy? I guess what I'm really asking is how healthy is it?

Yes. I think it is that good for your body. It improves flexibility and range of motion and helps to strengthen your muscles. It brings oxygen to your blood and it is also very good for your mind, helping you to focus your thoughts and clear your head. It is as therapeutic for the soul as it is healthy for your body.

It builds muscle strength and protects from conditions like back pain and arthritis. It helps your body to have greater balance and increases flexibility. This type of strength and flexibility not only makes your body feel better but it can also help to prevent injuries in certain cases, too (ex. pulled muscles, etc.)
