  • What about Tai Chi

Is Tai Chi another type of Yoga? Does it work in the same way? Does it provide any weight loss benefits?

I've heard a lot of good things about Tai Chi for mind, body and spirit, but I don't know if it's any good for weight loss

I think I read somewhere that Tai Chi is actually good for weight loss because it benefits both your mind and body. It not only helps you to burn some calories, but it also helps you to de-stress. Stress can be a major contributor to weight gain in some people. So, I'd say you should definitely give this exercise a shot. You're likely to get a lot out of it :)

Tai chi is a great exercise because it gets you moving but also provides you with calm mental focus. I have found that whenever I do it, It is very relaxing. A 15 minutes sessions of Tai Chi burns about 70 calories, which is pretty decent considering it's only 15 minutes. So if you combine this with other forms of exercise, like walking or whatever else you might happen to like, all that calorie burning adds up. Of course, if you want the best results, you should remember that eating a healthy and balanced diet is important. That said, I highly recommend that you try out Tai Chi if you have never done it before.

Tai Chi is very good for helping you find the right inner balance and to get your positive energies flowing, which is very good for reducing stress levels. This helps with weight loss and your overall mental and physical health. Many people don't realize that stress is a huge contributor to weight gain. In addition to helping you burn calories, you'll burn through stress, as well, both will put you on the right track to losing weight and improving your life.

I think Tai Chi is good for stretching and for lowering stress, but I don't see it being very good for reducing weight. I really think that cardio is the best for burning calories and fat. I say work Tai Chi into part of your exercises for the week, but definitely do something else. Don't just rely on Tai Chi!

I think Tai Chi is just like Yoga. It's good for the mind and for keeping yourself limber and improving balance, posture, etc. But I don't think it's a great exercise if you really want to shed pounds. If you want to really drop the fat, you need to engage in some serious cardio.

Cardio definitely is important, but Tai Chi has a lot more value than you think. Have you ever actually tried it antoniojones1968?
