  • how often should you do yoga?

I’ve heard of a lot of people who do yoga every single day, and then there are a lot of weekly classes out there that are meant to help you to do yoga once per week, four times per month. So how often should you be doing yoga? Is it something you should do as much as possible? If you do yoga, should you still do something else like strength training in a day? I know that you need to rest and recover your muscles between workouts so if you do yoga every day, does it mess with that?

I don’t really think that thtere is a specific rule about how often you do it. It also depends on the type that you do to decide when you can do it. If you’re spending an hour total on your yoga, then the odds are that you really aren’t going to want to do it every day on top of yoru busy life and your other exercises that you have to do. But if you’re doing a 10 to 15 minute early morning routine, then that could easily fit in every morning. So it depends on the kind that you do, when you do it,a nd how much time you have in your day to smush it in. I don’t think that you can do it too often but don’t let it go too long between sessions or you’ll end up losing your progress.

Do a short session every morning or evening, or do a longer session every two days.

You can do yoga as much or as little as you want as long as you aren’t pushing yourself too hard. Pay attention to what your body says.

I think it's safe to do yoga every day and I'm sure it's good for you too, for both your mental and physical wellbeing. At the same time, I don't think you should be focusing on doing Yoga exclusively. Make sure you're doing other exercises as well to ensure that your entire body benefits, even if your goal isn't too lose weight.
