What are some good yoga moves for beginners who aren't flexible enough to put their feet behind their heads or any of that nonsense?

I want to get the benefits of yoga, but I'm not a pretzel.

There are some very basic simple ones like the tree, downward facing dog, etc, that are all quite easy. Still, it's best to have someone show you how if you're just learning. Try going to one basic class to learn!

Joining a class really is the right way to learn the basics. It'll help you learn things right so you don't hurt yourself.

There are many different types of yoga, each one emphasizing a slightly different aspect of health and fitness. Styles such as Hatha and Iyengar yoga may be beneficial for older practitioners as the slow, gentle movements avoid straining the joints but still tone the body and increase endurance and flexibility.

Which one is the kind you see the most with the slow movements and stretching sort of poses?

it's best to get an instructor if you don't know what you're doing.

Or at least get a video that has some good instructions for how you should do the moves
