I just went to my first spin class today. For those of you who don't know what that is, it's a whole bunch of exercise bikes lined up in a room at the gym and then the lights get dimmed and the music starts (and it really pumps you up) and then there is an instructor at the head of the class with a headset that yells out commands. The instructor takes you through a series of phases, from warm-up to more challenging phases with hills ect, to a period of peak effort and difficulty then followed by a cool down. I thought I was going to die! I tried my best to keep up but you can totally go at your own pace. My goal is to keep up a little more each session. (My sessions are only 30 minute sessions right now so the ultimate goal is to be able to go for the entire 30 minutes.)
