  • Ideas for making exercise fun

    Hi everyone. I don't know about the rest of you, but sometimes I can find working out to be quite the chore. When I don't look forward to it, sometimes I skip it, which I know I shouldn't do. Does anyone have any ideas on how I could make my exercise more fun? Thanks!

    Take a dance class. You'll have a lot of fun and you'll burn calories!

      Get a Wii and then get Wii Fit! I LOVE that game. It's a really great way to exercise and lose weight and keep on top of your goals and monitor your progress and have fun at the same time. It features all different types of fitness from strength training to cardio to yoga and more.

        I agree with Kyra. Take a dance class. There are all different types. Even pole dancing LOL. If you don't want to do dance classes in person, you can always get videos too.

          Exercise with a friend whenever you can. When you workout with someone, exercise is always more fun and it's easier to stay motivated. If you can't workout together daily, then definitely sign up for a class together so you'll have something to look forward to once a week :)

            Xbox fitness is great and they also have lots of different fitness games that hooks up with kinect. Shape up is another popular one and there are also sports-related ones, too. If you don't have an Xbox, PlayStation also has a bunch of them and so does Nintendo Wii. Essentially, any interactive games that requires you to actually move your body is a good one.

                Wow! Thanks for all your great ideas guys! I don't have any video games or consoles to play them on for that matter, but after all your suggestions I'm kinda tempted to get one. Which one would you recommend I get? It looks like a lot of you think the Wii would be good, but I'm open to others as well. I think if I were to get one I'd want one that has a lot of different fitness game options.
