Do targeted exercises work? Like do crunches slim down your belly? Do arm kickbacks really tone the backs of your arms? Or does all this work just contribute to the whole?

I think it works on muscle building but not weight loss

I'm pretty sure that spot training is for toning the muscle, not burning the fat. So if you do fat burning exercises (cardio) and do toning exercises, then when you burn off the weight, you'll have awesome toning underneath instead of just sagginess.

You can target muscle groups through certain exercise but you can’t target specific fat deposits. Those are two very different parts fo the body.

Overall workouts help you to burn off the fat on your whole body. It's really better to do that anyway since your body will usually choose the order of things that is right for your health.

Thanks. That makes it a lot easier to understand.
