I have seen Proactol in a lot of places and a few of them say that it is clinically proven. Is that true? Also, is being clinically proven and actually being proven by medicine by science the same thing? Can you trust when companies say these things? I’m having a hard time understanding what claims really mean.

As far as I know there aren’t any studies that have been conducted on this pill by reputable research or medical organizations.

No, this formula has never been proven by a large medical organization or university. It's just the same as a lot of others that brings together a bunch of ingredients that are really common in the industry but that don't have scientific evidence to back them up.
