The more I read about prescription diet drugs, the less convinced I am of their efficacy and safety. Are these drugs really helpful for people who want to lose a lot of weight, in the long run? Or should you just explore the option of surgery for a more permanent solution?

I get your question. That said, I think it honestly boils down to the individual and their specific circumstance. Diet pill work for some people, with others need surgery. It depends on your age, health, whether or not you've had success with pills before and also your budget. Weight loss surgeries are not free and they're not always covered.

I don't think either is necessarily better. Both have goods and bads. As tobetinytina says, it all depends on a person's individual circumstance, preferences and the size of their wallet. Surgery can be uber-expensive, especially when you probably will need more than one and some of it is considered cosmetic.

Really? Why do you feel it's the most dangerous option? I mean, some people take diet drugs that can have seriously dangerous side effects.
