Has anyone heard of this latest diet pill that has been approved by the FDA? I think it just got clearance. What do you all think about it? Do you think it could actually work?

Yes. I don't think it's a pill and I don't think it's been approved by the FDA. I think they market it as a device. It's essentially glorified glucomanan. What I mean by that is that it claims to make you feel less hungry because a gel expands in your stomach to fill it up. It works for some people but its definitely not a long-term weight loss solution in my opinion.

I don't think it's all that special either. I think they've only studied it's effects on like 400 people or something...that's not very many, especially with a less than 60% success rate. It's just the FDA doing what they always do...granting approval to something without really knowing the long term effects.

I can see how this might work but I don't thing it's a long-term solution and the benefit that it possibly provides will only go away once you stop taking it...this just seems like a dumb quick-fix to me that won't actually be of any real benefit in the long run. Disappointing.
