Does anyone know some good tricks for keeping the discomfort of withdrawal symptoms under control. I know for smokers they’ve got the patch and gums and stuff like that, but what do you do when you’ve been taking a prescription weight loss pill?

I never want to take this again. It’s not worth it. I was going to take a nonprescription but I decided to just go with the prescription drug my doctor prescribed and it was working really great but now I’m miserable.

I have already tried drinking a lot of water, and taking more walks every day. But I don’t have a lot of motivation to get out and moving because I feel like hell. Can anyone suggest something to get me through the next few days?

It's very important that you keep all of your doctors appointments as you take these drugs. You should use them EXACTLY as they've been prescribed for you. never take more in a day than you've been prescribed and never take more at a time than you're instructed.

You also need to use these only for a short time. Make sure that you point out to your doctor when they start to become less effective. Over the weeks, they'll start to fade away, but it won't help you to start taking more. That'll just make it more likley that you'll become addicted.

Don't forget to drink lots of water and if you think you have withdrawal, talk to your doctor about graudally reducing your dose until you stop using it at all.

If you're getting off the pills properly, you shouldn't feel much - if any - withdrawal. I think it's very important to see your doctor (like tracy1976 said).
