  • Hoodia History: fact or fiction

Did bushmen from Africa really take hoodia to suppress their appetite or is that a myth? I'm only asking because I've taken more than one type of hoodia product and I can't say either of them worked. Was that story made up just to help convince people to buy it?

I don't know if its fact or fiction, but I don't think it really matters, do you? I mean, if Hoodia doesn't work and even if it did, but it doesn't work for you, does it really matter to you if it worked for African bushmen way back in the day?

Cujo1992 has a point. It's history doesn't so matter so much as what it can do for you today. That being said, I think bushmen did use it, but they wouldn't have taken it in the way that we do, so I'm assuming that if it did work, it probably worked a lot better.

I'm pretty sure its true. But, yeah, the problem is that whatever they were taking is not what I think is being included in diet pills and certainly not at the same dosage level. I have a feeling if they took the hoodia diet pills on the market today that they might not have had as much success with the appetite suppression.
