I know hoodia isn't supposed to be the best, but what about Saffron? I've read some studies that suggest it has the potential to suppress appetite. Has anyone taken saffron supplements? Do they seems to help with curbing hunger?

I've heard that it helps some people with appetite suppression. That said, considering the cost of this spice, I can't imagine that it's a practical solution. Also, I have no idea if the herb and the supplement form has the same effects.

I think the studies involving saffron and appetite suppression have been done on supplements. I think it can help, it just doesn't cause weight loss. Just like fat burners, it's up to you what you do with the support it gives you that dictates how much weight you might lose.

I don't think anyone knows what it specifically is, but those who think it works to help curb hunger and reduce cravings believe that it may increase herb levels of serotonin, which helps prevent compulsive overeating and the weight gain that can result from this over intake of food.
