What's the difference between Xenical vs. Alli? They both have the same ingredient, but one's prescription and one's over the counter.

I've been reading a lot of reviews of the two lately and I've noticed that Xenical has a lot of people who say that it's effective but that there are a lot of side effects that are pretty gross, but at the same time Alli is disappointing a lot of people because they're hoping for results like Xenical, but it just doesn't quite reach that level. I suppose that's because it doesn't have as much of that key active ingredient.

I like alli because it means you don't have to be completely rigid about your eating. The orilistat ingredient doesn't differentiate between good fats and bad fats. It just stops you from absorbing fats as a whole. So if I want to have a diet that includes some good fats, Xenical is too strong and means that I will have to go to the bathroom a lot. Alli lets you have more fats before those repercussions happen.
