There's something I've been wondering...since Alli is available without a prescription and it contains a lower dose of the same drug that it is in Xenical, why would you bother going through the hassle of getting a prescription for Xenical? Won't Alli help to treat obesity too and couldn't you just take a higher dose of it if you needed more of it?

Why take Xenical if you can take Alli

People take Xenical instead of Alli because they need a higher dose of orlistat. When taking this higher dose it needs to be prescribed by a healthcare professional because you need to be adequately monitored while you are on it. Taking a bigger dose of Alli is dangerous. You should always follow the directions that are given to you. If you feel that you need a stronger dose than what Alli can provide, you should be talking to your doctor about that.

Just like what everyone else said, it's simple really 1000KW. Either you take Xenical because you need the stronger dose or you take Alli because you don't. Neither medication should be abused. If a person thinks that they need a stronger dose of Alli than what is recommended for this product, then they should be talking to their doctor about taking Xenical - plain and simple.
