Is it the only FDA approved OTC diet pill?

I know that Alli is FDA-approved because it contains orlistat, but is it the only FDA approved weight loss aid on the nonprescription weight loss market? Are there other products that contain FDA approved ingredients?

I think it is. I don't think there are other diet pills sold OTC that contain FDA approved drugs. So, if you were hoping for like a non-prescription phentermine, this doesn't exist.

I agree. I think Alli is the only one that's currently available. Trust me, if there were others, especially a true non-prescription legal FDA-approved one you'd know.

As far as I know it is. There are lots of other manufacturers that like to say that heir products are manufactured in FDA-approved facilities or that they have a patented ingredient waiting for FDA approval, etc. However, none of these statements mean that the product or its specific formula is FDA approved. If you do come across a nonprescription product that claims to be FDA approved or that contains FDA approved active ingredients, don't just believe this. Do some research to find out the truth. The FDA doesn't just hand it's approval out to anyone and will say which products/drugs do and do not have its approval. Finally, remember that the FDA does not regulate the supplements industry.

I agree with what everyone else is saying. I'm pretty sure Alli is the only one approved. That said, I think there are some OTC diet pills out there than contain FDA approved ingredients. This doesn't meant the product is FDA approved, mind you, but it's good to know that some companies are using some high-quality and very-researched substances in their formulas at least.

Personally, I would recommend avoiding purchasing any products with claims like "FDA supported" "FDA facility" and any other things like that. This is all a ploy to get you to buy a product. If you want to know if what you are taking is approved by the FDA, go to the actual FDA site and find out what products actually have their approval. They list them.
