  • Can I take Alli with a fat burner

Is it possible to take Allli with an OTC fat burner or energy pill? I like that Alli blocks fat, but I also want something to give me energy to help me stay motivated for working out, too. Does anyone know?

Um, maybe, but you'll really want to be careful mixing supplements and medications. If you're not careful, it can lead to unwanted side effects or it might make the stuff you're taking work differently, dangerously or not at all. If you feel that you need something to boost your energy if you're taking Alli, ask your doctor about it. I know it's annoying, but it really is the best way to be safe when it comes to mixing stuff.

Don't know. It might be better to take an energy booster with caffeine than drinking lots of coffee as coffee comes from beans and since Alli already carries a risk of you winding up on the toilet, I can see the whole drinking too much coffee thing to get an energy boost being a bad thing. But, at the same time, it's never a good idea to combine to different products for the same purpose without first consulting with someone who actually knows what effects - good or bad - might result.

I wouldn't do it. There's always a lot more risk involved when you start combining supplements and medications. Unless it's something that has been prescribed to you by your doctor, I wouldn't take the risk, personally.

I'm with those who think it's a bad idea. If you think you need a fat burner on top of Alli then it sounds to me like Alli isn't the right choice for you. Maybe you need something else. I would recommend identifying with what you think is your greatest challenge that you need to overcome with weight loss (e.g. big appetite, overeating, low energy, etc.), talk to your doctor about it and then explore your options. Just mixing supplements together is never a good idea.

Agreed! Don't mix supplements! If you want to burn more fat while you're taking Alli, do more cardio!
